This is a regular full-time position for a mental health clinician to provide counseling to children and their families in a clinic-based setting. Duties will include engagement, crisis support, direct treatment services with assigned clients, performing integrated behavioral health assessments, service planning and implementation, individual and family therapy, case management, and collaborative service documentation.
In addition to working knowledge of techniques specifically related to community mental health services, the position requires strong communication skills within a team environment and the abilities to develop cooperative relationships with clients, their families, and the community, to interpret community mental health and chemical dependency services, and to prepare concise and complete client treatment and progress records. The successful candidate will have excellent communication skills, computer proficiency, and will be dependable, organized, self-directed, detail-oriented, and possess the ability to work in a team environment and to interact with co-workers, client, and the public in a courteous, professional manner.
A Master’s degree in a social services field from an accredited school and at least one year of experience are required in addition to certification as a Qualified Mental Health Professional (QMHP). An appropriate combination of education and experience may substitute for the degree. Preference will be given to those applicants with training and experience in evidence-based practices and experience providing intensive mental health and addictions services in a community-based setting, those with fluency in Spanish and English with competency to provide bilingual/bicultural clinical services, and those with who meet the criteria as a Certified Alcohol and Drug Counselor (CADC). Will be subject to successful completion of a background check.
Salary: $3966 - $4523/month anticipated at hire. Benefits include medical, dental, vision, life insurance, health savings, paid leaves, paid holidays, PERS and deferred compensation options.
