Account Executive
SUMMARY: Responsible for the implementation of services to the Greater Dallas retail sector employer community, as defined by the Workforce Development Board and required by retail grant funder. Links the retail business community to appropriate Workforce programs. Develops and supports collaborative targeted industry groups in the retail sector to affect a coordinated response to skills/talent needs and to promote employer investment in workforce development
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Manages services required by retail industry sector and under a retail-specific grant.
2. Supports collaborative targeted retail industry groups to affect a coordinated response to skills/talent needs and to promote employer investment in workforce development.
3. Develops and implements outreach strategies to solicit employer participation and broker partnerships with employers, the workforce development system, training institutions, and other community agencies to customize services to employers’ needs. Coordinates collaborative efforts with workforce centers and other community agencies on behalf of the retail industry.
4. Convenes and addresses community and professional groups to coordinate, improve, and stimulate interest in the retail program.
5. Assists employers in identifying current workers who are qualified to train for higher level positions, and will benefit from higher level skills training (upskilling).
6. Leads the collection of data and produces output including employer and supervisor/manager trainee feedback to complement continuous system improvement.
7. Represents WFSDallas on workforce and education-related task forces and other committees as assigned. Conducts workforce related presentations to various community and business organizations.
8. May manage additional staff to fulfill the objectives stated above, including data entry into the system of record to meet or exceed performance expectations, as well as document and report success. Data and outcomes must be collected, organized and produced accurately and timely to ensure program requirements are met
