Wilson Economic Development Council is seeking an Operations Manager
The responsibilities of the Operations Manager include:
- Assists in the development and administration of the Wilson Economic Development Council budget, Wilson County Properties budget, and Wilson Corporate Park Property Owners' Association budget.
- Responsible for the financial reporting functions for the Wilson Economic Development Council, Wilson County Properties, and Wilson Corporate Park Property Owners' Association.
- Responsible for the accounts payable and receivable functions of the WEDC, Wilson County Properties, Inc. and the Wilson Corporate Park Property Owners' Association.
- Compiles data for the annual WEDC audit.
- Responsible for managing the payroll and benefits for the WEDC staff.
* Submits monthly retirement reports electronically.
* Submits quarterly federal 941 reports.
* Submits quarterly NCUI 101 reports electronically.
* Prepares annual W-2 and W-3 forms and state annual tax forms.
* Completes annual Workers' Comp. Audit.
* Coordinates the maintenance and repairs at Wilson Corporate Park, The Campus at 587, WEDC office and various buildings.
* Participates in grant writing and is responsible for the administration of awarded grants.
• Prepares bi-annual state grant progress reports.
• Prepares annual Golden Leaf grant progress reports.
* Monitors the local incentive approval process.
• Verifies company new investment commitments prior to the payment of local incentives and submits payment requests to the City and County.
* Responsible for the completion of Community Investment Reports for the Economic Development Partnership of NC on a quarterly basis.
* Responsible for the completion of Catapult and US Census surveys.
* Serves as a liaison between the WEDC staff and the Wilson County Economic Development Council board, the Wilson County Properties board, and the Wilson Corporate Park Property Owners' Association board.
• Records and maintains the minutes of the WEDC board, the WCP board, and the WCP Property Owners' Association board.
• Compiles and maintains attendance and board term reports for all three boards.
* Serves as a Notary Public for all three boards.
* Supervises the Office Co-Ordinator.
* Supervises the activities of office interns.
* Attends and participates in local Agri-business meetings.
* Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Finance or related field, 5 years of relevant experience.
- Fluency in Microsoft Office suite (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.) and Quickbooks
- Detail-oriented and analytical
