Public Health Business Officer I
Public Health Business Officer I needed in the Wayne County Health Department. Provides managerial oversight of department finance, personnel, dental, WIC, and clinical support services. Minimum education & experience: Four year degree and four years experience in personnel, budgeting, research, or administrative management; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Responsible for the operation and oversight of the business and administrative functions of the Wayne County Health Department. These include budget, financial reporting, payroll, accounts payable, accounts receivable, billing, human resources, dental, clinical support services, and the WIC program. Requires: Considerable knowledge of the principles and practices of public and business administration. Considerable knowledge of modern office procedures, practices, and equipment. General knowledge of personnel, purchasing, and accounting practices and procedures. Ability to plan and direct fiscal and business services. Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with associates, other officials, and the general public. Ability to examine organizational performance from an administrative level. Moderate ability to provide problem analysis and convey assessments and findings.
Graduation from a four-year college or university, preferably with a major in business, public, or hospital administration, and four years administrative experience involving participation in the planning and management of a business or governmental program; or an equivalent combination of training and experience.
