Upper Moreland Township has a full-time position available in the Human Resources Department responsible for assisting in the day-to-day workflow of Payroll and Human Resources.
The responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:
- Responsible for all aspects of payroll, including entering personnel information, reviewing, and processing payroll, year end compliance and reporting, compliance with union contracts, deductions, pay raises, garnishments, employee benefits, bonuses, absences, tax liabilities, processing new hires and separations in system, etc.
- Maintaining personnel and other related HR files.
- Verification of pay information, tracking certifications, completing wage requests (i.e. employment verification, Workers’ Compensation, unemployment, etc.).
- Entering attendance, reconciling payroll and attendance, etc.
- Documenting and updating procedures.
- Maintaining confidentiality and responding to general inquiries.
- Administrative support to HR Director including but not limited to: scheduling interviews, coordinate meetings, managing files, drafting memos, running and formatting reports, updating forms, etc.
- Work on special projects as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or equivalent; 3 years’ experience working full-time in a payroll position equivalent to the responsibilities for this position.
- Prior HR experience.
- Proficiency in payroll software (preferably ADP).
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office specifically Excel, Microsoft Word and Access.
Preferred Requirements:
- Experience in municipal government processing payroll.
- Prior HR experience.
- Knowledge and/or prior experience using ADP Payroll system.
