The United States District Court for the Eastern District of North Carolina is accepting applications for a Space and Facilities Specialist in Raleigh, NC. Under the supervision of the Clerk of Court, the incumbent is responsible for the management and oversight of all space and facilities projects initiated by the court or the General Services Administration (GSA), including planning, design, technical review and financial management planning for all space and facility projects, and district-wide coordination of all building activities for the district
To qualify for the position, an individual should have at least two (2) years of specialized experience working in a design or construction related firm or in a facilities related capacity which provides knowledge of facilities management and space planning, and familiarity with federal and state building codes/systems. Candidate must be a self-starter, extremely detail-oriented, and possess excellent organizational and communication skills. Proficiency and skill in the use of automated equipment and software systems for word processing, spreadsheet development, and financial systems applications including but not limited to MS Outlook, Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, and Adobe. Must be capable of obtaining required certification for procurement officer duties.
