Full-Time position in the Public Works Department-Position works Mondays - Fridays (7-4) with flexibility to work special events and respond during weather emergencies.
Manager is primarily responsible for providing purchasing and contracting administrative processes in support of Public Works.
Performs a variety of administrative tasks including, but not limited to, design, construction and service contract preparation and management; purchase of goods and materials; process grant applications and management; lead department’s safety training program; manage surplus property disposal process, administer Solid Waste and Recycling contract including responding to citizen concerns; and coordination of department’s participation in special events.
This position supervises the Public Works Administrative Assistant.
The manager will work closely with the Public Works Director, Engineers, and Contractors on all construction projects to ensure document requirements are met.
