Town Clerk/Treasurer
The Town of Wiggins a "Gigabyte City" is now accepting applications for the position of Town Clerk/Treasurer. The Town of Wiggins is a small growing rural town located approximately 50-miles northeast of Metro Denver. Wiggins is ideally situated along I-76 at the crossroads with Highway 34. The Town is known as the Gateway to the Plains and Rockies. The Town is seeking a dynamic, energetic and self-starter for the position of Town Clerk/Treasurer. This is an appointed position, which works under the authority and direction of the Town Manager. The successful applicant will be a self-motivated, highly organized, and trustworthy person.
Duties include but are not limited to maintaining custody of all town records, serving as clerk to the Board of Trustees, oversight of utility billing, election supervision, accounts payable and receivable, payroll, budget preparation, licensing, and permitting. Preferred qualifications for this position include experience in accounting, Caselle software, excellent listening skills, typing skills, ability to multi-task and organizational skills. Past experience as a town clerk, experience in finance management, budgeting and a degree from an accredited school is desired. Salary range for this position is $45,000 to $48,500. Hiring range for this position is anticipated to be $45,000 to $46,500 DOQ. The Town offers paid healthcare, retirement match, and paid sick leave and holidays.
