Clinical Social Worker
Clinical Social Worker position Tampa Jewish Family Services Tampa Jewish Family Services (TJFS) is seeking a Licensed Clinical Social Worker that will provide individual, couple, family, and group psychotherapy to children, teens, adults, and seniors. Social Worker must also be experienced in or willing to train in the area of senior care management. Clinician serves as a team member of the Counseling Department and within the Agency in general. Clinical services will be provided in both South Tampa and Citrus Park locations. Tampa Jewish Family Services is a nonprofit agency that services all families regardless of faith.
TJFS accepts both private insurances as well as offers a sliding scale based on income. The mission of the agency is to provide psychological services to the community regardless of financial capability. Basic Function: Provides direct service to clients and participates in community psycho-educational activities. Provides individual, couple, family, group psychotherapy to children, teens, adults, and seniors within Agency programs, under the supervision of the Clinical Director. Serves as a team member of the Counseling Department and within the Agency in general.
Position Responsibilities:
Conducts self in a professional, ethical and responsible manner. Provide comprehensive clinical services, such as individual, couples, family, and group therapy, senior care management, community referrals, and community outreach. Develops a working knowledge of the Agency's policies and practices regarding psychotherapy services. Maintains primary responsibility for clients' treatment from Intake procedure to Discharge from Agency. Maintains records/case files according to the Agency's standards and requirements. Utilizes research-based, conventional, effective therapeutic interventions with clients. Emphasizes a systems-approach and a comprehensive biopsychosocial assessment on determining an individual plan of treatment for each client. Carries an active client caseload relative to the number of hours employed. Actively participates in weekly supervision meetings with the Clinical Director. Makes regular reports to the Clinical Director on the status of each case. Attends Agency or professional seminars/conferences to increase professional knowledge while meeting requirements to maintain a professional license. Develops a working knowledge of community resources for the purpose of making appropriate referrals for clients. Works with the Clinical Director to identify community psychosocial educational needs and develops appropriate support groups/community workshops. Participate in community relations to develop professional connections with local agencies and programs. Performs other Agency related duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
A Master's degree in Social Work or related field from an accredited college or university. Must be licensed in the State of Florida. Must be skilled in the areas of providing individual, couples, family, and group psychotherapy to children, teens, adults, and seniors. Must have experience in or be willing to train in the area of senior care management.
