Senior GIS Analyst Duties:
Advance team spatial analytics capabilities through programming and database, perform competitive intelligence modeling, create and manage enterprise datasets and support critical GIS functions like Administer ArcGIS Enterprise and relational database to host web services and applications; coordinate with engineers, planners and other professional to plan, design, develop, deploy and maintain GIS solutions using custom or out-of-the-box tools including Python, Vb.Net, C#; perform advanced programming and development of cross- platform, multi-function, interactive applications using environments such as ArcGIS Desktop, ArcGIS for Developers, ArcGIS Online, and ArcGIS Enterprise; integrate 3D city models built in InfraWorks with ESRI City Engine, ArcGIS pro including enhanced integration of real-time sensor data involving graphical interfaces for multiple end-users; determine requirements, design, implementation, debugging and deployment within GIS, network and web-based environments using JavaScript API, Html 5, CSS; assist and provide technical support to staff and customers on GIS requests, which include data extraction, map products and applications, on-the-fly data inquiries for clients and stake holders; model, program, and create codes for highway and transit networks; provide database support for PostgreSQL, SQL Server for Transportation data analysis applications; assist with project and service line pursuits through client presentations and proposal preparation; act as a GIS resource on various technical committees, commission groups, initiatives; support development of open source data analytics software stack including processing using GeoMesa or similar geo-analytical tools; and, perform process automation for GIS analysis using Python scripting.
Requirements:
- Master’s in information technology, Programming, Geographic Information Science (GIS) or similar field and one year of experience in GIS analysis.
- Must possess one year of experience with each of the following:
- Working with PostgreSQL and Python for processing large data sets.
- GIS Analysis in the ESRI suite including ArcGIS for Developers, ArcGIS Online, and ArcGIS Server.
