Host/Hostess, The Pines Steakhouse

Our dynamic Food & Beverage department, the largest department in our organization, strives to create a pleasurable dining experience for all guests and prides itself on exceptional food quality and outstanding customer service.
Under the direction of the Food & Beverage Supervisor, the Host/Hostess for The Pines Steakhouse will provide pleasant, efficient customer service while seating customers. The Host/Hostess takes and plans reservations according to operational measurements, greets and seats guests, manages server rotation and service flow under the direction of management.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Takes reservations, contacts guests, monitors upcoming shifts and adjusts floor-plans accordingly.
- Arranges floor-plan and reservations to achieve maximum dining room turns for optimum profitability.
- Greets customers, escorts them to tables, and provides menu (where applicable).
- Arranges parties and special services for diners.
- Inspects dining room tables for cleanliness before seating customers.
- Prepares beverages and expedites food orders, if necessary.
- Assists with special projects as directed by the supervisor including, monthly meetings, special banquets, concerts, and special guests.
- Notifies immediate supervisor of any problems or concerns.
- Maintains the cleanliness, organization and preparedness of immediate workspace and adjacent areas.
- Performs additional job-related duties as assigned by their supervisor/management.
- High school diploma or GED preferred.
- Must have good organizational and communication skills with the ability to work well with others.
- Must have clean and proper work attire in accordance with company policy.
- Must be reliable, pleasant and possess a good attitude.
- Must be able to operate open table reservations and floor-plan functions.
Certificates/Licenses/Registrations
- At the discretion of the San Manuel Gaming Commission, may be required to obtain and maintain a gaming license.
- Must obtain and maintain a current Food Handler’s Card, Lead Card and negative TB test.
