Ruston Paving is currently hiring for the following positions at its Durham, NC location.
DUMP TRUCK DRIVER
The dump truck driver drives trucks equipped with various configurations of dump body to transport and dump materials such as stone, asphalt, or other materials as needed. The individual drives other vehicles and/or configurations as assigned and trained. He follows all safety requirements and procedures outlined by all regulatory agencies and company policies.
LOWBOY DRIVER
The lowboy driver drives trucks equipped with a flatbed trailer used for the loading, unloading and transport of heavy construction equipment. The individual drives other vehicles and/or configurations as assigned and trained. He follows all safety requirements and procedures outlined by all regulatory agencies and company policies.
MECHANIC/SHOP TECHNICIAN
The mechanic is responsible for the on-site and off-site maintenance and repair of company owned and rented construction equipment, trucks and vehicles. He is responsible for the organization, cleanliness and safe operation of tools and equipment in and around the shop and yard area as well as the mechanic’s truck. Follows all safety requirements and procedures outlined by all regulatory agencies and company policies.
EQUIPMENT OPERATOR
A heavy equipment operator safely operates a variety of motorized equipment used in the construction, maintenance and repair of company construction projects. The operator must perform a variety of skilled and semi-skilled tasks in the construction and maintenance of company construction projects. Follows all safety requirements and procedures outlined by all regulatory agencies and company policies.
PAVING AND GRADING LABORER
The paving and grading laborer performs tasks involving physically demanding labor at construction projects. The individual may operate a variety of hand and power tools. May clean and prepare sites, clean up rubble and debris and remove waste materials. The individual may assist other workers.
