Superintendent of the Richmond County Board of Education
The Richmond County Board of Education seeks a Superintendent for a contract term beginning July 1, 2019.
Applicants must have a valid superintendent’s license, must have a Ed. D. degree, and must establish residency in Richmond County, North Carolina on or before July 1, 2019 or upon taking the oath of office.
Applicants must submit a Resume and a Letter of Interest and References.
The Resume should include the following topics: educational degrees, educational work history, human relations department experience, curriculum experience, administrative experience, supervisory experience, classroom experience, extra curriculum experience.
The Resume should specifically address whether the applicant has been dismissed from an administrative position, and if so, the reason.
The Letter of Interest should address the following topics: why the applicant is applying, people skills, strengths and weaknesses, philosophy as to growing school administration from within the school system and mentoring school administrators, the applicant as a proponent of teacher advancement, community relations, experience and compatibility with the community college system, and vision statement for Richmond County Schools.
Applicants must submit at least six (6) References. Three references (3) must be from individuals in the field of education. Three (3) references must be from individuals in the community.
