Distribution and Collection Systems Coordinator
The Orange Water and Sewer Authority (OWASA), a progressive water utility providing water, sewer and reclaimed water services to the Towns of Chapel Hill, Carrboro and the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill seeks a highly qualified Distribution and Collection Systems Coordinator to join our successful team.

This position provides a well-organized, planned and scheduled approach to the operating procedures for the Water Distribution and Sewer Collection Departments. Position will play a lead role in organizing various programs such as the Cross-Connection, Backflow Prevention, Multi-Vendor reading system, etc. This is accomplished by creating work orders and service requests using Cityworks; generating reports on open/closed work orders; creating memos, documents, reports and correspondence. Manages daily office operations by answering telephones, greeting/assisting visitors, handling customer inquiries related to the water distribution and sewer collection systems. Maintains calendars and filing system for the departments.
Minimum requirements include an Associate’s degree with three to five years of relatable experience. Valid North Carolina Class C driver’s license required. Position requires excellent, above average aptitude with Microsoft Office products. Use of Microsoft SharePoint and Cityworks are preferred. Typical work hours are Monday through Friday 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.

Salary range: $41,689 - $64,200
