NC State University in Raleigh, NC seeks an Assistant Clinical Professor to Teach VMC 967: Veterinary Dentistry, VMC 965: Advanced Principles of Surgery, VMC 961: Companion Animal Medicine and Surgery II, VMC 939: General Limited Small Animal Practice, and VMC 991-141: Wild Carnivore Selective. Supervise 1 veterinary dentistry resident. Provide clinical dental/oral surgery services & related teaching in Health and Wellness Center. Maintain a robust clinic service within Veterinary Hospital. May be able to work from home several days per week with supervisor approval, but some in-person work on a regular weekly basis is required.  

Requires DVM or equivalent degree in Veterinary Medicine or Veterinary Dentistry, board-eligibility by American Veterinary Dental College, & AVDC approved residency. Must have demonstrated exp. with: performing dental & oral procedures, including tooth extraction, endodontic treatment & maxillofacial surgeries; interpreting & performing dental radiographs & cone-beam computed tomography; writing grant proposals & performing independent research in field of small animal dentistry, including periodontics & endodontics, as evidenced by at least 2 scholarly publications in last 5 yrs.; providing didactic lectures & laboratory instruction to DVM students; & presenting on continuing education topics of veterinary dentistry & oral surgery to veterinarians.
