Education Course Review Officer
An employee in this class is charged with performing highly responsible adult education duties. Professional education work involves curriculum and content review and development for online and classroom-based courses. Considerable knowledge of adult education training principles and theories, as well as technical editing, analytical and creative skills are required. Objective judgement, initiative, time management, and organizational skills are also needed to effectively performthe work. Work is performed under the general supervision of the Director of Education and Licensing and is evaluated through biannual evaluations, regular meetings, overall quality and efficiency of programs, and feedback from the public served.
Evaluates classroom-based, technology-enhanced, and online courses and programs to determine if quality guidelines, desired learning outcomes, and statutory requirements have been met. Requires knowledge of principles and theories of adult education. Requires strong editing skills. Master’s Degree in Instructional Design, Instructional Technology, Technical Communications, English, or equivalent professional experience in the technology-based education field. Possession of a real estate broker license is preferred.
Salary $53,434 - $64,121, depending on experience, plus benefits. Must reside in Raleigh area.
