New Business Marketing Consultant
Miami Herald is hiring a New Business Marketing Consultant to drive multi-media sales revenue from large, local & regional accounts, following the Core 4+ Sales Process; understanding their needs (both current & desired) and crafting customized solutions to meet customer needs. New Business Marketing Consultants understand our solutions and have the ability to effectively show they drive results.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Identify new business opportunities by segment; design approaches to target and penetrate in particular new digital business
- Daily Independent prospecting of digital opportunities to drive new digital revenue
- Develop and maintain a full funnel of prospects by utilizing Core 4+ Sales Process
- Conduct deep-dive Client Impact Assessments, utilizing pre-call research
- Develop Results-Based Solutions
- Present and close proposals
- Work with client success team to ensure client goals/expectations are met
- Upsell existing customers based on need
- Utilize Salesforce as a Predictive and Collaborative tool

Exhibit technical competency, e.g. updating our CRM, create client-ready proposals in PowerPoint, etc.

Ability to sell against other media & effectively manage and overcome objections.

Ability to handle multiple assignments simultaneously.
Job Requirements:
- 4+ years in sales and marketing
- College degree required.
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to build relationships.
- Understanding of basic marketing concepts.
- Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Must have access to a dependable vehicle and valid driver's license.
