Landfill Assistant Supervisor

Logan County is seeking an individual to perform first-line assistant supervisory and journey level skilled duties associated with the operation and maintenance of the county landfill facilities and equipment. Assists the Landfill Supervisor in maintaining compliance with the various federal and state agency regulations related to solid waste, environmental impact, land management and overall landfill operations. This employee works under the direct supervision of the Landfill Supervisor and general supervision of the Logan County Board of County Commissioners. HS diploma or GED plus three 3 yrs. of experience in the operation and maintenance of landfill operations and/or equipment; or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Must possess or be able to obtain valid Colo. Commercial Driver's license (CDL); must be able to pass ICC physical and maintain medical certificate; must be able to become SWANA certified as a "Manager of Landfill Operations" and maintain the certification through additional training and/or retaking of the test; must be able to comply with applicable county and departmental policies, safety standards, and wear required personal protective equipment. Pay range is from $20.2856 an hour to $25.7438 an hour depending upon experience plus benefits.
