Quality Assurance Engineer

Quality Assurance Engineer, IBM Corporation, Durham, NC (Up to 40 % telecommuting permitted): Collaborate with lead developers to plan and coordinate appropriate test automation and quality assurance coverage. Construct detailed test plans and create robust test cases to automate manual tests that enhances the test cycle by minimizing regression testing. Build automation platforms and develop automation test coverage to meet coverage requirements. Work and operate using Agile methodologies to communicate product status and risks with product stakeholders such as management, architects, project technical leaders and colleagues. Set up and maintain various environments for purposes of development and testing which requires working knowledge of various operating systems such as z/OS, Linux, Windows, and Mac. Implement various automated test suites to verify the continuous integration and delivery of code, on a nightly basis, for existing applications using different technologies such as Travis, Jenkins, AutoIt, Mocha, Selenium and TestNG. Maintain and integrate code into the team’s supply chain management (SCM) which requires expert knowledge of the version control tool GitHub. Design and develop new front-end functionality and features for the Wazi product via extensions in different technologies such as JavaScript, TypeScript, JSON, NodeJS, XML, HTML5, React and CSS3 using tools such as Visual Studio Code. Utilize Java, JavaScript, Typescript, Agile, SAFe5, Github. Required: Bachelors or equivalent in Computer Science, or related and one (1) year of experience as an Engineer, Developer, or related.
