Recertification / Property Manager

The Housing Authority of the City of Goldsboro located in Goldsboro, NC (50 miles east of Raleigh, NC) is seeking qualified candidates to fill an open Full-Time position in our Property Management Department.

Pay will be based on experience and skills. Salary Range: $40,000.00 - $54,043.51.

Position Summary
The Recertification/Property Manager is responsible for monitoring annual recertifications of low-income families for all Agency properties in compliance with applicable regulations, and ensures, wherever possible, that all discretionary activities are administered in conformance with Agency policy, and acts as a back-up for the Agency’s Property Managers as necessary. Responsible for the Agency receiving at least a satisfactory rating concerning HUD agency scoring systems such as Public Housing Assessment System (PHAS) and other future HUD required evaluation systems.

• Must possess a valid NC Driver’s License and maintain a good driving record.
• Previous experience in property management and recertification a plus.
• Skill required in the use of various office equipment and software.
• Ability to maintain compliance in all areas and adhere to regulations while ensuring privacy and confidentiality of all materials a must. Good communication skills are necessary.
• Working knowledge of HUD requirements beneficial.

Education and Experience
Associate’s degree required and one (1) year of progressively responsible experience in management or in an administrative capacity in property management or low-income housing, or an equivalent combination of experience and education.
