Latin America Sales Account Specialist
Fike Corporation, a rapidly growing international manufacturer of pressure relief, explosion protection, fire suppression and detection equipment, has an opportunity for a Latin America Sales Account Specialist. Fike is a privately held business located in Blue Springs, MO with over 400 employees locally & over 1,200 employees worldwide.
Summary:
This position supports business growth by assisting customers and channel partners in an assigned region, providing price quotes, processing customer purchase orders, and validating documentation and approvals in order for a Customer Service Rep to enter a sales order. This position will work closely with outside sales to build professional relationships with customers, find new opportunities, and increase revenue
Responsibilities:
- Supports business growth in Latin America, including Brazil, by assisting customers and channel partners in their native language of Spanish and Portuguese, providing price quotes, processing customer purchase orders, and validating documentation and approvals in order for a Customer Service Representative to enter a sales order.
- Works closely with outside sales to build professional relationships with customers, finds new opportunities, and increases revenue.
- Solicits and develops strong, long-term customer relationships with existing and new accounts as directed.
- Assists Sales to handle and follow up on customers' needs and requests.
- Interacts with customers in their native language on inquiries for standard and previously purchased parts, including lot or part number lookup/cross check, and creates price quotes using the Fike quoting tool (LOLA).
- Supports non-standard and new design opportunities by obtaining technical and application information as needed by Fike technical support teams. Assists with communication of appropriate technical alternatives. Enters opportunities and customer information into Fike's CRM system. Analyzes sales history to identify customer purchasing trends or issues. Works with outside sales to identify opportunities.
- Receives and conducts Contract Review of purchase orders from customers (direct business) which may require interaction with customer portals. Assists customers with PO revisions. Obtains necessary export compliance documentation. Takes all necessary action to provide complete and accurate info for Order Processing.
- Monitors and follows up with customers on open and expired quotations. Assists outside sales in negotiating and converting expired quotes to orders. Measures progress against win rate and sales performance metrics. Solicits and documents input from customers on quotes not converting to orders, including competitive and pricing info.
- Works with key customers to develop forecasts for product shipments and shares this information with internal teams to create demand plans. As directed, assists sales to coordinate large contracts, stage deliveries, pricing agreements, or other complex commercial programs for customers in Latin America. Acts as the liaison between customers and internal teams.
- Assists sales in contacting customer prospects and following up on leads.
- Coordinates expedite requests that arise prior to sales order creation.
- Works with various internal departments to confirm feasibility and ship dates and works with sales to determine proper expedite fees.
- Processes Material Return Requests and manages them to resolution and completion.
- Coordinates set-up of Fike's booths at trade shows in Latin America.
- Performs related duties as assigned.
- Regular and consistent attendance is required.
Requirements:
- 3 years of experience in customer service or sales using Microsoft Office Suite.
- Must have ability to review contracts and engineering drawings as evidenced through prior work experience.
- High school diploma or GED.
- Fluency in Spanish and Portuguese.
