POSITION TITLE: Supervisor, Fabrication

OVERVIEW
The Supervisor, Fabrication plays a key role in the design and fabrication process to optimize current and potential future manufacturing at the DeMarini facility. This person will also supervise a small team. The role works with the R&D group to design and build new equipment and modify current equipment to improve production processes.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty and responsibility satisfactorily:
Monitor and evaluate process/equipment performance, make recommendations for new and improved processes and equipment. Design and fabrication of equipment.
Provide engineering support in production department to troubleshoot and resolve technical problems.
Propose new technology to keep equipment and processes technologically advanced in conjunction with the R&D team.
Work closely with maintenance staff to develop, coordinate and implement technical training for employees. Training is focused on introducing new equipment and processes.
Assist with facility maintenance.
Interact with external organizations (vendors, suppliers, etc.) to explore new technologies for bat manufacturing.
REQUIRED EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
- Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field. May substitute for equivalent experience in the field.
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in fabrication and design

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
This role will manage 1-3 team members. As the leader, this role is expected to carry out managerial responsibilities in accordance with company policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
