Your impact will happen in these and other ways:
Operate complex automated machinery to meet high volume production. Functions performed are: operations quality checks, tool set up and changes, SPC control charts, recordkeeping, housekeeping preventative maintenance, minor corrective maintenance, skill acquisitioning and skill sharing, as well as the achievement of delivery, inventory, safety, cost and quality goals.
Achieve daily production goals
- Change tools according to tool change frequency and re-qualify machine for production
- Perform quality checks according to gage frequency and control plan
- Follow standardized work instructions and process documentation
- Learn and complete certification on several operations and other team related tasks
- Maintain a clean and orderly work area, including routine housekeeping tasks and machine cleaning tasks
- Obtain and/or maintain a fork truck license as required
- Actively lead/participate as needed in continuous improvement that improves safety, cost, quality, and delivery
- Be reliable - excellent attendance & promptness, meeting commitments to customers and others, etc.
- Understand safe machine operation adhering to Certification Training, Risk Assessments, LOTO, and Process Documentation
- Use material handling equipment including hoists and forklifts to move parts
- Works with peers, support staff, trades, etc. to maintain/repair equipment
- Communicates effectively with team members and others
- Perform other tasks as needed
Qualifications
- High school diploma, GED or equivalent required
- Experience with metal cutting machinery in a production environment
- Experience with precision measuring equipment
- Geometric Tolerancing
- Mathematics to include algebra and geometry
- Knowledge of SPC
- Ability to perform preventative maintenance and minor maintenance on machinery
- Knowledge of metric system
- Must pass all related testing

Compensation and Benefits
Base hourly rate commensurate with experience .
