Ethics/ Philosophy Instructor
Cowley College is seeking a full-time Ethics/Philosophy Instructor to teach ethics and philosophy classes at Cowley College’s Ark City main campus. This position will also act as a liaison for the Etzanoa project. This position will commence August 1, 2018. The successful candidate will demonstrate effective teaching skills and engaging learning strategies, provide guidance for adjunct faculty, contribute to departmental and college operations through participation in meetings and work groups, and cultivate positive and effective relationships with community stakeholders. Typical teaching load is 15 credit hours per semester. Additional duties with additional pay are usually available for student advising and other optional supplemental duties, including teaching overload courses.
Required Education and Skills:
- Master’s degree in ethics, philosophy or anthropology is strongly preferred. Master’s with 18 graduate hours in discipline will be considered fully qualified.
- Post-secondary teaching experience is required.
- Good oral and written communication skills
- Experience with assessment of student learning
