Assessment Clerks perform specialized clerical support tasks with complex data processing systems to maintain manuals and computerized assessment records.
Assessment Clerks are also responsible for:
- Identifying, applying, and explaining assessment code, regulations, policies, and procedures
- Providing customer service to the public by phone, in person, and in writing
- Assuring records and documents are indexed, routed, and processed in a timely manner, per department guidelines and state and/or federal regulations
- Maintaining manual and computerized assessment records
- Performing cashiering services and accounting for payments from customers
The ideal candidate will possess:
- A commitment to providing exemplary customer service support
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills in order to work effectively with staff and the public
- The ability to work independently and exercise sound judgment
- Superb attention to detail and a capacity to work in a fast-paced environment with frequent interruptions
- Strong MS Office skills, including Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel
- Clerical experience delivering customer service support in an office environment
