HYPERION ESSBASE PLANNING MANAGER sought by NCS Pearson, Inc., an indirect wholly-owned subsidiary of Pearson plc, in Durham, NC. 40 hrs./wk. Duties: Oversee development of Hyperion Essbase & Hyperion Planning applications, data architecture, and ODI processes. Work closely with colleagues in the Financial Information Systems team (FIS) to maintain the smooth running of existing solutions Hyperion 11.1.23-EdNA and PSO, and to implement system updates and enhancements. Administrate and manage several Hyperion Planning and Hyperion Essbase Block Storage Outline (BSO) and Aggregate Storage Option (ASO) and Oracle Business Intelligence Enterprise Edition (OBIEE) software applications in connection with financial information management systems, including developing enhancements. Development of Global TEP Hyperion Planning and Essbase applications using Hyperion on Exadata 11.1, Data architecture and Delivery. Support and enhance oracle Data Integrator (ODI) with SQL. Design reports based on business requirements utilizing Hyperion Financial Reporting (HFR) and Oracle Business Intelligence Enterprise Edition (OBIEE) and Hyperion Smart view templates. Manage, execute, and monitor monthly and annual business processes utilizing Oracle Data Integrator (ODI) and Financial Data Quality Management Enterprise Edition (FDMEE). Provide support for end users, including technical guidance on approach and method as users continue to develop their own processes. Support the budget and forecast and Actual load processes on a monthly and annual basis through maintenance, modification, and support of financial software applications. Identify and propose enhancements to existing systems and develop applications based on business user requirements. Load financial information data utilizing Oracle Data Integrator (ODI). Responsible for overseeing project aspects including the Enabling Program at Pearson (TEP). Manage Offshore AMS Technical delivery team to support Global TEP Hyperion applications.
Requires a Bachelor's Degree or higher in computer science, computer information systems, or a related field, or foreign equivalent; and 5 years of experience in Hyperion financial systems, including a minimum of 3 years administering Hyperion Planning. Any Experience in Essbase scripting. Understanding of Smart View and FDM. Any experience in: Hyperion Financial Management (HFM); and Visual Basic for Applications (VBA). SPECIFIC SKILLS: Enterprise Performance Management 11.1.2 or above, Hyperion Planning software, Hyperion Financial Reporting, MAXL, SQL, and Essbase.
