Substance Abuse Technician
The primary role of this position is to provide supportive and therapeutic care for chemically dependent women and their children at the residential program. The outcome achieved through this position will be quality programming for substance abusing women and their children that is provided with efficiency and effectiveness to meet the needs of this special population.
Responsibilities include providing direct care and document clinical activities. Supervise consumers and their children at residential and when in the community. Make rounds every two hours. Monitor cleanliness of residential site. Model appropriate attitude and behavior. Assist treatment team to identify consumer needs. Provide supportive counseling. Provide assistance moving consumers in and out of apartment and provide housekeeping to apartment after consumers move out. This position is required to provide documentation in shift notes/alerts sheets and provide incident reporting and other duties as requested.
You must have a high school diploma or equivalent. One year of work experience preferably in direct healthcare.
