Business Analyst
Collective Data is seeking a seasoned Business Analyst to serve as the translator between the client and our technical teams that ensures a successful solution is created and delivered. Define project needs: identify requirements, outline scope, list project milestones, communicate configuration specifications to the team, and finalize budget requirements.
Responsibilities:
- Seek to understand the needs of the client and serve as a translator to the technical teams to develop a solution illustrating within the idiomatic use of the product, to minimize configuration and customization requests, from the beginning and throughout the relationship
- Validate resource requirements and develop cost estimate models
- Construct workflow process: work within the team to identify system capabilities and write specifications
- Monitor project progress by tracking activity, resolving problems, publish progress reports, and recommend actions
- Upon implementation, serve as the coordinator between the client and technical teams to ensure requirements are understood by both to mitigate scope creep
- Maintain user confidence by providing ongoing project updates as it relates to identified milestones
- Participate in user and functional testing to ensure client’s needs and expectations are met
- Write documentation within established standards, and prepare technical reports by collecting, analyzing and summarizing information and trends
- Conduct insightful, ad hoc analyses to investigate ongoing or one-time operational issues
- Identify trends, client requests and observations to propose software and application enhancements, projects and programs for the future and communicate with product owner
Required Skills / Experience:
- A degree in a related area and more than two years of experience in the field, or in a related area
- Familiarity with relational database concepts and client-server concepts preferred
- Ability to impact operations and effect change without being confrontational
- Detail oriented, analytical and inquisitive
- Ability to work independently and with others
- Extremely organized with strong time-management skills with the ability to multi-task, determine priority of multiple projects, and maintain a positive attitude in stressful situations
