Visiting Assistant College Lecturer

Cleveland State University’s School of Social Work is searching for a one-year appointment as Visiting Assistant College Lecturer beginning August 22nd, 2022, and ending May 18th, 2023. The successful candidate will be prepared to teach both web-based and face-to-face classes at the graduate and undergraduate level (a total of eight courses per academic year) and is expected to engage in usual University and community service. The School of Social Work educates students of various ethnic and cultural backgrounds and values a diverse faculty and staff.

Minimum qualifications for the position include a Master of Social Work (MSW) degree from a CSWE accredited university; at least two years post-MSW practice experience; social work license or ability to be licensed in Ohio; successful experience teaching social work or related courses; and the interest in and ability to teach both face-to-face and online courses.

Preferred qualifications for the position include a doctorate in social work or related field, LISW or equivalent; successful experience teaching face-to-face and online courses; and the ability to contribute through teaching and/or service to the diversity, cultural sensitivity, and excellence of the academic community.
