Civil Engineer II

City of High Point Engineering Services Department seeks person with background in public works project planning, design, and construction of roadway improvement projects, water distribution systems, sanitary sewer systems, and storm drainage systems. Plans, supervises, and reviews the work of other technical personnel engaged in the preparation of related engineering work. Position also involves participation in the review of subdivision plans, site & construction plans, floodplain development plans, and watershed development plans for compliance with the City of High Point Development Ordinance.  

Position requires:  Degree in Civil Engineering from an accredited college/university, and state certification as an Engineer Intern (EI) or licensed Professional Engineer (PE).  Two (2) years of experience in public works and utility engineering design, two (2) years of experience with computer design and drafting programs such as AutoCAD and/or other civil design software, Two (2) years of experience with computer modeling and design programs for hydrology, hydraulics, structures, and highways.

Hiring Salary range from $59,627.57 - $80,928.43 annually with excellent benefits.
