Safety Supervisor
Assure safety program compliance with OSHA, general contractors, and customers' requirements for the entire residential department. Focus on the implementation of programs which identify and reduce employee exposure to workplace hazards. Direct front line supervisors on the company's safety culture. Interact with outside agencies, if necessary. Investigate and assist with remediation of insurance claims. Ensure treatment for injured employees (which can include going to the clinic or aiding in transportation). Ensure drug testing for new employees and employees involved in incidents, and investigate incidents to determine and resolve root causes. Ensure safety training for new employees and ensure proper safety equipment has been issued to employees. Conduct and track training and certification for forklift, manlift, First Aid/CPR. Conduct site specific training and inspect job sites on a regular basis. Create site specific safety manuals. Coordinate with fleet manager for vehicle inspection, defensive driving classes, and road test driving candidates. Although this position will direct safety actions of workers, it does not directly manage or supervise employees.
