Junior Commodity Merchandiser

We currently have an opening for a junior trader in our commodity merchandising department. Responsibilities: Enter, check and maintain records of trades. Learn proprietary methodologies and trading systems that support the company’s goals/objectives. Support the Sr. Merchandising positions with assigned duties/ responsibilities. Contact vendors on a daily basis (potential for significant daily telephone contact). Develop ongoing relationships with assigned vendors; foster external professional relationships. Maintain a working knowledge of NGFA trading rules and regulations to be followed. Learn the concepts of purchasing, contracting, inventory control and logistics management Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Animal Science, Economics, Finance or related field. Highly motivated with a strong work ethic. Excellent oral and written communication skills; strong persuasion and negotiation skills. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Detail-oriented, thorough and diligent; strong organizational skills. Valid driver’s license and insurable driving record.
