Sr. Staff Accountant
The Staff Accountant is responsible for all G/L accounting duties such as balance sheet reconciliations, financial statement analysis, journal entries, financial statement preparation, and monthly close procedures.

Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting/Finance
- CPA preferred
- Minimum 3 years public accounting or corporate accounting experience
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, as well as interpersonal skills with a customer service focus
- Excellent organizational, time management, and problem-solving skills
- Skills sufficient to maintain productivity in a fast-paced environment undergoing organizational changes
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Ability to work well both independently and as part of a team is required
- Self-starter
- Strong understanding of accounting theory and GAAP accounting
- Strong attention to detail
- Ability to work cooperatively and collaboratively with all levels of employees, management, and external agencies to maximize performance, creativity, problem solving, and results
- Ability to meet assigned deadlines
- Ability to act and operate independently with minimal daily direction from manager to accomplish objectives
Essential Functions
- Perform the day to day processing of accounts payable transactions to ensure that finances are maintained in an effective, up to date and accurate manner
- Compile and prepare journal entries to general ledger accounts
- Prepare monthly financial statements and other reports to be used by management for analyzing financial information
- Assist with analysis of accounting transactions
- Apply the financial policies and procedures of the company. Bring inconsistencies and problems to the attention of management
- Update and maintain inventory standard costs and selling prices
- Review standard and actual costs for inaccuracies
- Prepare month-end account reconciliations
- Develop, maintain, and/or review reports to support analysis of balance sheet and income statement accounts
