Licensed Nurse and Certified Nursing Assistant
Licensed Nurse
Education: Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
License: current License as an RN or LPN in good standing in the state of employment.
Experience: Preferred six months experience in long term care or rehabilitation
Other: willing to work assigned schedule, weekends and holidays. Effective decision making and communication skills. Able to supervise and direct CNA's to meet the physical, spiritual, emotional and social needs of all patients.
Universal Precautions: Category I-Potential for exposure to blood/body fluids likely.
Physical Requirements: Push and pull wheelchairs and other equipment. visual and auditory acuity within normal limits. Lifting patients from 70-290 lbs. with assistance as indicated. Mobe patients in bed, up in bed, chair to standing, bending and kneeling with assistance as indicated.
Summary of Job Purpose: Provides quality patient care including accurate medication administration and performance of procedures or treatments as directed by supervisor or physician. Supervises and directs daily nursing activities performed by CNA's in accordance with established standards of practice and State and Federal Regulations. Maintains a safe, clean environment. Treats all patients, visitors and staff with dignity and respect.
CERTIFIED NURSING ASSISTANT
Education: C.N.A. Certification from an approved training facility and meet State requirements for employment.
License: Current C.N.A. Certificate for State of Operation in good standing or must within four (4) months of employment have completed stte required training and a competency evaluation program.
Experience: Previous patient care experience in Geriatric Acute Care, Home Care, or Skilled Nursing Facility.
Other: Willing to work shift assigned, weekends and holidays. Willing to provide compassionate, respectful, spiritual, emotional and social needs of all patients. Able to follow instructions accurately. Must be able to read, write and follow oral and written directions in English at a level necessary to accomplish the job. Must be able to relate positively and favorably to patients and families and to work cooperatively with other employees. Must meet all local health regulations and pass a post employment physical exam, if required. Must be capable of performing the Essential Job Functions of this job, with or without reasonable accommodations.

Lifting patients from 70-290 lbs with one, two or more assistants or assistance of hydraulic equipment as indicated. Move patients in bed, into bed, chair to standing, bending and kneeling with assistance as indicated. Physical and sensory requirements include, but may not be limited to, walking, reaching, bending, lifting, grasping, find hand coordination, pushing, pulling. Ability to communicate with patients, ability to hear and respond to patient pages and be able to distinguish smells, tastes and temperatures; ability to read and write and remain calm under stress.
Other Requirements: English language skills adequate to allow communication with patients and staff, and to understand written and oral instructions
